The product group released the February 2024 Cumulative Update for SharePoint Server 2019 product family. SharePoint Server 2019 is patched with a language dependent and a language independent fix.
The KB article for February 2024 CU will be available at the following Location in a couple of hours:
- KB 5002558 – February 2024 Update for SharePoint Server 2019 (language independent)
- There was no language dependent fix released this month.
The most recent language dependent fix is KB 5002532 from December 2023 CU.

Important: It is required to install both fixes (language dependent and independent) to fully patch a SharePoint server. This applies also to servers which do not have language packs installed. The reason is that each SharePoint installation includes a language dependent component together with a language independent component. If additional language packs are added later (only) the language dependent fix has to be applied again.
It is irrelevant which language you pick on the drop down in download center. Even the language dependent fixes are all in the same package for all languages.
After installing the fixes you need to run the SharePoint 2019 Products Configuration Wizard on each machine in the farm. If you prefer to run the command line version psconfig.exe ensure to have a look here for the correct options.
Please ensure to have a look at the SharePoint Patching Best Practices before applying new fixes.

Hello Stefan, last month i installed the january CU with the language dependent fix from December.
Since the December language dependent fix is still the most up to date, do i have to reinstall it now again with the Febuary CU update as well or only the language independent fix would be enough?

Actually it will not be possible to install again as it was already installed.
Installing the language independent fix is all you have to do.

I am preparing to install the FEB CU for SP 2019. Our current patch level is SEP 2023. Do I need to also download the DEC 2023 language dependent patch and install it as well?

Hi James, yes. you need to install the most recent language dependent fix together with Feb 2024 CU and that is the one from December 2023.

Hello,
after installiong the February-Update, (SP 2019 on Prem) we cant create SharePoint-Groups that will be shown in
“Site Permissions => Advaned Site Permissions” (_layouts/15/user.aspx)
If I create an SP-Group, I only can see this Group at “Peoppel and Groups” (_layouts/15/groups.aspx)
But I can’t move them to the other Site, and so, i can’t, by script, change the Members an the Access-Rigjts an a Library
