   Is SharePoint 2013 SP1 required for these security fixes like with the April CU?

   Yes. SP1 is mandatory.

   Are these updates also pushed to systems without SP1 and if so, what happens if admins try to install them(i'm sure they will try….)? Will they just refuse to install (good) or will they half install and cause corruption(bad)?

   Hi Jeffrey,
   two points:
   1) SharePoint 2013 without SP1 is unsupported.
   2) the fixes will not install and cannot be installed on SharePoint servers without SP1.

   I know SP2013 without SP1 is unsupported, but some admins aren't that quick with updating as one would want and was curious about what happens before i start getting calls 🙂

   What is the database config version number if I only install MS15-033. In other words, does the database config version number change if I install MS15-033?

    this security update does not change the db schema version.

    from what I can see it only updates the core server components and not db schema.

    Hello Stefan, thanks for your postings – If I install the April CU for Sharepoint/Project Server 2013, is that supposed to include the March security fixes as well,MS15-022
