The product group released the March 2023 Cumulative Update for Office Online Server.

Is there any plan to release a new version of Office Online Server just like Microsoft did with the Workflow Manager? Or we will need to use the same Office Online Farm with SharePoint SE?

Hi Ionut,
Office Online server is already an evergreen product since year 2016.
Similar to SharePoint Server Subscription Edition it will be updated every month but no new versions are planned to be released.

Are then new functions planned to keep it inline with functionality we have in cloud or will we only have security updates?

Hi Marian,
on Prem and Online development is decoupled.
If there is functionanlity you would like to see in OnPrem which exists in Online the best would be to open a support case with Microsoft and allow Support to raise a Design Change Request on your behalf.
