An updated Servicing Policy for SharePoint Server Subscription Edition has been released.
Key Points:
- CUs older than January 2023 CU will be supported till December 12th, 2023.
- January 2023 CU and newer will be supported for only one year.

Hi Stefan, so no new CU’s for Sharepoint 2016? are MS discontinuing support for it at the end of the year?

Hi Gerard,
this blog post is about SharePoint Server Subscription Edition – not about SharePoint Server 2016.
Of course there will be new CUs for SharePoint Server 2016 till SharePoint Server 2016 reaches end of its lifecycle.
