  1. Hi Stefan, Is “KB4484414 – SharePoint Server 2010 (core component)” applicable on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. System requirement in MS portal does not show Windows Server 2008, it only shows windows server 2012 & windows Server 2012 R2.

    1. Windows Server 2008 R2 is no longer supported. We do not list unsupported operating systems. If your SharePoint installation is still on Windows Server 2008 or 2008 R2 you should urgently look into upgrading the OS as unsupported operating systems no longer receive security fixes.

    2. @Suman, yes, you can still install SP2010 updates on your 2008R2 systems. The OS is unsupported like Stefan says; however, SP2010 is still supported until next year (October 2021 I believe). You can still download and install the SP2010 patches on your unsupported system. I’m in the same situation and have had no problems installing SP2010 patches after 2008R2 went EoS.
Trying to install Windows OS updates on 2008R2 is another story unless you have ESU.

  2. Is this accurate? 2019 looks like it has both core and language independent (KB 4484400 and KB 4484404) patches, 2016 also has both (KB 4484402 and KB 4484344), and there’s a patch for Office Online Server (KB KB4484330).

    1. The other patches do not include security fixes. This blog post talks only about the security fixes. For the non-security fixes please check out my other blog posts.

  3. Hello Stefan,

Does June 2020 PU include May 2020 PU?
