The product group released the August 2015 Cumulative Update for the SharePoint 2010 product family.
For August 2015 CU we have full server packages (also known as Uber packages). No other CU is required to fully patch SharePoint.
As this is a common question: Yes, August 2015 CU includes all SharePoint security fixes released with August 2015 PU.
Be aware that CU is a Post-SP2 hotfix. It is required to have SP2 installed before installing the CU.
It is required to have SP2 installed for the base product and all installed language packs to install August 2015 CU for SharePoint 2010.
This CU includes all SharePoint 2010 fixes (including all SharePoint 2010 security fixes) released since SP2. The CU does not include SP2.
The KB articles for August CU should be available at the following locations in a couple of hours:
- KB 3055049 – SharePoint Foundation 2010
- KB 3055040 – SharePoint Server 2010
- KB 3055038 – Project Server 2010
The Full Server Packages for August 2015 CU are already available through the following links:
- Download SharePoint Foundation 2010 August 2015 CU
- Download SharePoint Server 2010 August 2015 CU
- Download Project Server 2010 August 2015 CU
After installing the fixes you need to run the SharePoint 2010 Products Configuration Wizard on each machine in the farm.
Be aware that the SharePoint Server 2010 CU contains the SharePoint Foundation CU.
That means only one package has to be installed for the SharePoint 2010 product family.

The KB links in this blog article take me to a Microsoft error page saying that the page cannot be found.
Could it be the pages have not yet been released to the public?

Hi Larry,
"The KB articles for August CU should be available at the following locations in a couple of hours"
as you can see I wrote "in a couple of hours"
The download links below work already right now.

Hi Stefan
We have 3 other language packs which are already installed with SP2 CU. Do we need to install August CU language packs also or just and single English download for August CU will work ?
Thanks

Hi Ram,
the CUs are the same for all languages as the CU contains fixes for all languages.
The language drop down in the download center is just there due to technical limitations of download center.
With other words: it does not matter which version is selected in download center: the downloaded fix is always the same.
And no: you don’t have to install anything in addition for language packs.
Cheers,
Stefan

Seems that since applying this update, IE 11 has issues handling Event Calendars. When editing an event, multi-line columns and person/group columns are uneditable. Dropping Document Mode to 8 will allow editing.

Apologies, the issue I mentioned doesn't have to do with this update. It is an issue with IE 11 that I had not noticed before.
