I've looked over some posts about the cloud service vs. the on-site installation.
It seems that both go the same features, the only difference being the infrastructure.

I have recently signed up for free SharePoint site with http://www.cloudappsportal.com and it is taking care of most of my needs such as document management, task management, calendar sharing and more.
