Are both the WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007 required for MOSS servers? When they say cumulative does that mean this includes all fixes since SP2?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
yes both WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007 are required.
And yes: all fixes since SP2 are included.

has service pack 3 for MOSS 2007 been released / planned ?
the instructions are kind of dangerous for the hotfix and recommend to install service pack. I am having a problem that is fixed in the hotfix for one site collection only.

Hi Adnan,
there is no SP3 available.

Hi Stefan,
After installing august 2011 CU, I am unable to bind user to people editor control at run time.
Note – the code works only at the first page_load event. but if I delete the user and do a post-back(through click event) the same code(which is in Page_load event) doesn't work.
Do you have any idea? thanks in advance for your help.

Here (support.microsoft.com/default.aspx) is writen:
"Hotfix replacement information:
This hotfix does not replace a previously released hotfix"
So It seems to me that CU does not include previous CUs
Permalink
Hi Aland17,
that is an incorrect assumption. The fix does not replace a previous one. But it includes it.
That is not the same.

Hi Stefan,
Could you please confirm whether August 2011 CU includes the Sept 2011 security patches (MS11-072 and MS11-074 as per technet.microsoft.com/…/ms11-sep)?
I'm trying to install on MOSS 2007 32 bit edition.
Thank you in advance!

Hi Bluesky,
the sept security fix has a lower build number than August CU which means that it is included.

@Yegesh/ Jose: have you guys figured out what caused your issues? Just wondering whether I need to aware of any known issue August CU may bring 😉
Thanks for sharing!
